Governor Perdue Goes to Washington

Raleigh, N.C. – Governor Perdue traveled to the nation’s capital today to meet with various members of the Obama administration in pursuit of more federal stimulus money and to discuss the plan for nationalization of health care being pushed by Washington Democrats.

Senate Republican Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) made the following statement:

“The last time Governor Perdue took federal stimulus money she created no jobs with it and even fired some of our state’s most important employees: our teachers. We don’t need more bad advice and bad policy from Washington. We need leadership here at home and a better plan for creating North Carolina jobs.”
