Panel Fails to Get to Bottom of Flightgate Scandal
January 8, 2010We learned Thursday that the panel appointed by former Governor Mike Easley’s legal counsel, current N.C. Crime Control and Public Safety Secretary Reuben Young, and tasked over the last several months with finding “lost” travel records for the former Governor Mike Easley for the year 2005 found nothing after months of investigation. Ultimately, they deemed Easley’s story about the records to be “credible.” (“Missing records panel comes up empty,” Under the Dome, 1/7/10) To this point, there have been no changes made within the administration or any accountability for the “loss” of the travel records.
