Help Us Launch Our New Website!
Do you know what’s really happening in Raleigh?
The North Carolina Republican Senate Committee is launching our new website – www.myncsenate.com – to make sure you know what really is happening in Raleigh. Chances are if you are reading this now, it’s because you are one of our core supporters. First, we want to thank you for supporting the NC Republican Senate Committee over the past years and express our hope that you’ll continue to support us in the coming months.
2010 promises to be a great year for Republicans in the North Carolina Senate. For the first time in history, Republicans have recruited candidates to run in all 50 North Carolina Senate districts.
Democrats have controlled the North Carolina Senate since 1896 – that’s 114 years. Many election analysts are predicting 2010 will be the year Republicans take a majority for the first time in more than a century.
One of the biggest challenges facing Senate Republicans is delivering our message to North Carolinians in all corners of our state. Most local news and television stations don’t have the resources to send reporters to Raleigh to cover North Carolina state politics. And the big North Carolina media organizations that do cover state politics have a liberal bias in favor of the Democrats’ philosophy of big government, big spending and big tax increases.
That is why polling shows voters aren’t aware of the corruption scandals that have sent Democrat House Speaker Jim Black and Democrat Congressman Frank Ballance to federal prison. It is why voters aren’t aware that Democrat Governor Mike Easley is being investigated on serious corruption charges by a federal grand jury. And it is why voters aren’t even sure who controls the State Senate in spite of the fact Democrats have controlled the State Senate for 114 consecutive years.
The new myncsenate.com is our vehicle for delivering our message about conservative, responsible government directly to the voters. Winning control of the State Senate is the best chance we have of sending common-sense conservatives to Raleigh to create jobs, save tax dollars, and reform state government.
Over the next months, as we move through the primaries and on to Election Day, we will be keeping you updated on this site with the real news from Raleigh and about opportunities to get involved and to help elect Republicans to the State Senate.
In this day and age, information is power. Help us launch this site and share our message about what’s really going on in Raleigh by inviting your friends to sign up for our email updates and to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to celebrating with you in November when we end 114 years of Democrat rule in the NC Senate!
