From WGHP: Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools could cut 12 half-time assistant principals and one full-time assistant principal and require unpaid vacations from employees in order to help make up for an expected $5.25 million budget deficit.
The school board’s budget committee proposed the cuts and furloughs at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.
The anticipated deficit is largely due to a drop in state funding to the school system, which included dropping funding for textbooks. …
