Candidate: Jeff Hyde

District 27: Guilford

Incumbent Democrat:  Don Vaughan

Greensboro’s Jeff Hyde is challenging one term Senator Don Vaughan (D-Guilford) for the District 27 seat. Hyde, a North Carolina native and small business owner, says he wants to join other conservatives in the state legislature to address the North Carolina’s high unemployment.

About Jeff Hyde:

Jeff Hyde grew up in Valdese, North Carolina and now lives with his wife and sons in Greensboro, NC.  He and his wife, Natalie, own two photography studios in Greensboro.

“Like most small business owners, our prosperity is interconnected to the prosperity of others. For 13 months, North Carolina has had double digit unemployment,” says Hyde.

“I want to join with other conservative leaders in  Raleigh to help restore the prosperity of North Carolians. We have to make our State competitive with the Southeastern States that surround us for businesses and job creation.  Jobs will return to NC when we create an environment that encourages job formation. Lower taxes, mandates and regulations will bring the jobs back and lower our unemployment rate.  We can be prosperous again.”
