Candidate Spotlight: Louis Pate, District 5
District 5: Wayne, Greene, and Pitt
Incumbent Democrat: Don Davis
A message from Louis Pate:
I’m Louis Pate, the conservative candidate for North Carolina Senate. I am a family man who has been married for 44 years to my wife, Joyce, and we have three children and nine grandchildren. I served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and I owned and operated a successful building supply business for nine years. As a former Mayor and State Representative, and as a husband of a career educator, I have the perspective and experience necessary to tackle the problems facing eastern North Carolina.
I’m running for North Carolina Senate to create good jobs for working people. Families in our area are suffering through these tough economic times and I want to help put them back to work. As a small businessman, I understand that cutting taxes and reducing excessive regulations is the best way to expand economic opportunities for all our citizens. In addition, we must get the state budget under control. As a State Senator, I will fight to cut wasteful spending and reform our state tax code to make North Carolina more competitive in attracting business and industry.
I want to be your Senator and if given the opportunity to serve you, I will do so openly and honestly at all times. I’m asking for your prayers and your vote. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at www.louispate.org or by phone (919) 658-3637.
