Candidate Spotlight: Wesley Meredith, District 19
District 19: Bladen and Cumberland
Incumbent Democrat: Margaret Dickson (appointed to replace Tony Rand)
Wesley first arrived in North Carolina as part of the 82nd Airborne. After his service in the Army, he remained in Fayetteville and opened Cardinal Landscaping. Twenty years later his company has grown to include branches in both Fayetteville and Raleigh. He is currently serving his third term on the Fayetteville City Council, and is a former Mayor Pro Tem. Wesley has a proven voting record of slashing unnecessary expenses, reinvesting in the community, and fighting tax increases.
“Raleigh is in dire need of some fiscal sanity,” said Wesley, “and I intend to bring that to Raleigh.”
A message from Wesley Meredith:
I am a working class man from a working class family who grew up with the core values of hard work, perseverance, and serving God and country. I’m a firm believer in an honest wage for an honest day’s work, reasonable tax rates so you can keep more of what you earn, and investing in the future of our children. I believe in equipping people with the tools they need to succeed; giving a hand-up, not just a handout.
As your senator, my top priorities will be to create jobs and stop the wasteful spending. I pledge to you to vote against every tax increase. I will also work to provide opportunities for our citizens to thrive, to secure a stable future for North Carolina, and to ensure peace of mind for us and our children. I invite you to join me and help make these changes for our communities. Let’s win back North Carolina.
