Easley Grand Jury questions Democrat Senate Candidate
The News & Observer reports that the grand jury investigating the Mike Easley Corruption case has questioned District Attorney Dewey Hudson, the Democrat candidate for State Senate in District 10:
The district attorney over four counties Down East has been interviewed as part of the sprawling investigation surrounding former Gov. Mike Easley.
But Dewey Hudson, the top prosecutor for Duplin, Jones, Onslow and Sampson counties, won’t talk about it.
Hudson declined to comment on any subject matters he has covered with federal authorities, other than to say it involves “quite a few folks that I know, and most people do know in Eastern North Carolina, particularly elected officials.” Click here to read the rest of the story
It is rumored that Hudson accompanied recently convicted Easley aide, Ruffin Poole, on either one of several free vacations to Costa Rica, a bachelor party in New Orleans, or an engagement party in Wilmington that Lanny Wilson, a central figure in the Easley Corruption scandal, provided to Poole.
