National Attention for Republican State Senate Candidate
Brent Jackson, the Republican running for State Senate in district 10 – Sampson, Duplin and Lenoir Counties, is receiving national attention.
Brent is the founder, president, and CEO of Sampson County based Jackson Farming Company, one on North Carolina’s largest and most successful agribusinesses, which maintains thousands of acres of farmland and distributes produce to retailers across the Eastern United States. Brent is a past president and chairman of the board of the National Watermelon Association, President of the North Carolina Horticulture Council, and member of the National Watermelon Promotion Board.
Brent and his campaign were profiled recently by The Packer, a national publication focused on agriculture issues. The Packer said:

In addition to his knowledge of agriculture and related issues, Brent is an education advocate, previously serving on the Board of Trustees of Sampson Community College and the Midway School District Board. He currently serves on the board of the South River Electric Co-Op and has served on the boards of the Sampson County Farm Bureau, the Sampson County Airport Authority, and the Clement Fire Department.
Brent and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Rodney and Joshua.
