Businessman With State Contract Raises Money for NC Senate Democrats
As reported in the Wilmington StarNews today:
“Ken Eudy…will host a fundraiser Aug. 24 for N.C. Senate Democrats at his home in Raleigh…”
Who is Ken Eudy? He’s the co-founder of the Raleigh PR firm Capstrat.
“Capstrat recently signed a $375,000-a-year advertising and public relations contract with the N.C. State Ports Authority, a state agency whose members are appointed by Democratic state leaders.”
Hmm, that sounds a little fishy…
Democrats appoint NC State Ports Authority members, the Ports Authority hires Eudy, Eudy raises money for NC Senate Democrats.
The Circle of Life.
“On Tuesday, Eudy vehemently denied any connection between the contract and the fundraiser, calling them ‘apples and oranges.’
‘One thing has nothing to do with the other,’ he said.”
And if you’ll buy that, I’d like to talk to you about some oceanfront property in Arizona.
This is only the latest eyebrow-raising ethical swamp North Carolina Democrats have waded in to. See here, here, and here. (National Democrats aren’t fairing any better!)
It’s your NC Senate. Take it back. Contribute here.
