Meet Jim Davis, Candidate for NC Senate District 50

When Jim Davis arrived in Franklin, NC many years ago, he knew he had finally found home. He came with his lovely bride, Judy, a blue VW Bug, and the dream to open his own dental practice. All he needed was to find a few friends so he would have some teeth to work on!

Now, over 36 years later, his bride is prettier than ever, the VW has long since been laid to rest, and his friends – new and old – have helped him succeed as a small businessman, a dentist, and then an orthodontist. Oh, and he’s a grandfather now too!

Jim’s promise to his two precious granddaughters is the same promise he’ll keep as a senator: to do everything within his power to return North Carolina to the values that made it great.  The people of Western North Carolina — in the place he calls home — deserve nothing less.

Much has changed since that VW Bug rolled into Franklin over thirty six years ago, but the solid values of the region remain: the pursuit of individual liberty empowered by personal responsibility, limited government, and free enterprise. Jim Davis grew up with these values and he knows they’re worth fighting for.
