Tommy Tucker, Candidate for NC Senate District 35, In His Own Words

I am running for the North Carolina Senate to provide effective conservative leadership for the people Union and southeastern Mecklenburg counties. State government needs to be run like a business, not a bloated bureaucracy. I’m a small businessman who knows how to create jobs. I’ve met over 500 payrolls. I have the experience we need to create and retain good jobs for working families.

Taxes

I will work to cut taxes to create jobs. I will fight to reform the tax code to make it simpler and more business-friendly so North Carolina can effectively compete with other states to attract new businesses, industries, and more good jobs.

Spending

North Carolina’s state budget is growing too fast; the career politicians are spending too much money.  I believe North Carolina needs a spending freeze in order to establish its budget priorities and spending limitations. As your Senator, I will fight to freeze spending and cut taxes for small businesses and working families.

Our Future

I firmly believe that North Carolina’s best days are ahead of her.  With common sense ideas and leadership, together we can secure our state’s future.
