Berger Responds to Governor’s Budget Announcement

Raleigh, N.C. – Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) issued the following statement today in response to Gov. Beverly Perdue’s announcement that the budget deficit is now $2.7 billion:
“We are pleased the economy is showing signs of life. But we are alarmed Governor Perdue is declaring ‘mission accomplished’ before the real work is done.”
