The Leader Board – Republican Senate Filing Update

The 2012 candidate filing period ended yesterday – and the North Carolina Republican Senate Caucus is well-positioned to strengthen its majority.

72 Republicans filed to run for NC Senate, versus 54 Democrats, highlighting a wide enthusiasm gap.  In 12 of the 50 NC Senate races, Republicans face no Democratic opposition.

While this news is good for North Carolinians who want a better business climate for job creation, education reform, and limited government, there is no doubt that Obama is going all-in to recapture the Old North State in November. His campaign is blanketing the state with money and parachuting in thousands of “community organizers” to register Democratic to voters.

Obama’s massive campaign effort in North Carolina threatens Republican candidates running for all offices in the state – from president, to governor, to NC Senate.

The NC Republican Senate Caucus needs your support to withstand the Obama wave – and to stop his radical agenda.

Your contribution is key to spearheading our efforts to cut wasteful spending, lower taxes, and reform education. Don’t allow the Obama machine to run roughshod over North Carolina in 2012.

Candidate filing is complete, but the battle for hearts and minds is just beginning. Your support gives the NC Republican Senate Caucus the means necessary to fund candidates statewide, and bring conservative change to North Carolina.
