Berger has 17-to-1 cash advantage over Nesbitt

Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) has just over $770,000 cash on hand after the second quarter – more than 17 times that of Senate Minority Leader Martin Nesbitt.

As the Republican leader, Berger heads the North Carolina Republican Senate Caucus’s fundraising effort that supports Republican incumbents and challengers across the state.

His latest report show voters continue to back the responsible, conservative reforms made in the General Assembly.

Political Director Ray Martin said this:

“The massive discrepancy in fundraising success is due to one of three things: 1. Senate Democrats are throwing in the towel, 2. they’re expecting special interests to bail them out in November, or 3. they’re trying to raise money but failing because voters reject the far-left, Bev-Perdue agenda they championed in the legislature. You’ll have to ask them which one.”
